Education & Training
Our pilot program in 10 colleges across 9 mandals in West Godavari is geared to increase employment rates among non-engineering graduates.
We plan to use learnings from the pilot :
1) To extend the program to more colleges in West Godavari and address employment challenges at the grassroots level for those out of school and college.
2) Explore the job market and entrepreneurial potential in farming communities to stem the flow of rural migration.

We contribute towards free bus passes which enable 7,000 students, differently-abled and economically weak – to attend school.
We encourage sports in schools through sponsorships.
CSR Activities
Emergency Response
We have assisted over 1,000 Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) and organizations with PPE kits in the battle against COVID-19. These have been deployed in 9 mandals around the NBL factory, especially in the red zones.
We have donated to the state government of Andhra Pradesh to assist them in fighting COVID-19.
We have distributed food to COVID-affected families

Healthcare
We run an eye clinic in Koyyalagudem, West Godavari, where daily eye check-ups are conducted for local residents. Complicated cases and/or severely affected patients who require surgeries were referred to L.V. Prasad Eye Hospital in Vijayawada or Nidadavole. All medical costs are borne by Navabharat.
Eye camps were conducted in communities and schools in the 9 mandals and free spectacles were distributed to school children and economically disadvantaged persons. There is a need for an eye hospital in the area, which we hope to establish in partnership with LVP in the future.

Waste Management
Domestic waste was collected every alternate day from over 2,500 houses in Annadevarapeta village in West Godavari district, about 50km from our factory.
We partnered with the local panchayat to ensure untreated waste was composted, which provided an additional source of income for the panchayat.
